Called the Vet. Put him on NSAID. Now has a small amount of clear fluid leaking from area where hair stops and hoof starts, on same leg. He is limping. Hoof looks OK, frog OK, no swelling, bruising or warmth on lower leg. Ideas??

Keep in giving NSAID and see for one or two more days. It should not have leakage but it can be temporary. There is some wound that is taking much more time to heal and it requires rest to heal in time. Visit a vet aging and show him its entire area so that it can diagnose. It seems as if it has developed some kind of infection in it.
